Browne On Team Bonding

14 July 2016

Alan Browne has been enjoying the squad's training camp in his home town of Cork this week.

The 21-year-old feels the trip will only benefit the team spirit within the squad, as the new players look to settle in quickly.

The players are in houses of three and so there is plenty of time for the team to bond between training sessions, something that Browne feels has been important.

"I think it's important for the new lads coming in, just to get involved with everyone else.

"I think the houses give us a bit more freedom than the hotel which is good because we can move from house to house and have a chat and I think that's what the gaffer wanted for the new lads, to bond with everyone and get involved."

"It's a nice set up here and there's some good facilities which I'm sure the gaffer is pleased with."

"We've managed to get some good minutes under our belt too and some decent training so it's been good.

The trip was particularly enjoyable for the Republic of Ireland U21 midfielder who has spent the week in his home town of Cork, and managed to catch up with friends and family while away.

"It's good to be back home, I obviously know this place well, I've managed to meet a few friends and family so it's been good for me personally and as a team it's always good to get away.

"It's been really good for me personally, I haven't managed to get home but a few of my friends and family came down. It's always good because I'm away all year long and I'm happy that I got to see them before we head back over."
