Confidence High For Pringle And Co.

20 October 2016

Midfielder Ben Pringle is hoping PNE can build on their recent run of form against Norwich City on Saturday.

With confidence high after Wednesday night's victory, the Lilywhites face the Canaries at Carrow Road looking to make is six league games unbeaten in the Championship.

Speaking of the recent form, the 27-year-old said: "You look at the fixtures and the results we've had so far and you just look at the next game and see what you can do.

"It was obviously a good draw at the weekend, we've built on that mid-week and we have a tough game this Saturday and the couple of games after that as well. We are in a good place at the minute, we just need to keep going.

It will be the third game in seven days against one of the top sides in the division for Simon Grayson's side, but Pringle sees no reason why North End can't again pick up a positive result.

On the competition within the division, Pringle said: "That's the league for you at the minute, it's getting better each year. The teams with the most money are just ploughing money and players into their squads but that's what you've got to deal with.

"We've handled ourselves well so far, we've picked up some good points and results against big teams with big budgets so there is no reason why we can't go there on Saturday and nick something as well."

Pringle also spared a thought for the travelling PNE fans making the long trip to Norwich. He continued: "The thoughts go to the fans, I hope they get down there safe. I know there will be a good following like there always is, and hopefully they can cheer us on to get a point or three.
