The 2016/17 academic year sees the Preston North End Community and Education Trust introduce its newly designed package for its School Sports Programme.
The programme will see our QTS teaching staff and FA licensed coaches go out and deliver an array of sessions to primary schools; this includes using the power of sport to engage pupils in Maths, English, Physical Education and PSHE that all coincides with the National Curriculum. Further delivery includes 'H.E.L.P' which educates pupils on how to have a healthy eating lifestyle, as well as our popular Development Squad which improves resilience skills, leadership skills, lunchtime behaviour and self-confidence.
Our delivery also includes hosting breakfast, lunchtime and after school clubs which ensures attending children get the best out of their day using the power of sport and healthy nutrition.
Part of our objective here at Preston North End Community and Education Trust is to extend our education to primary school teachers. Alongside the children’s learning, we focus on mentoring primary school teachers so that they can deliver P.E with confidence and use a range of fresh ideas provided throughout our CPD (continual professional development).
It’s not just in the classroom and on the sports field where schools will benefit; the Trust also offers extras such as the chance to take part in Preston North End’s half-time penalty shoot-out, visits from first team players and Deepdale Duck, and a tour of the stadium as part of the packages.
The Trust offers numerous packages tailored to different needs of each schools at a pre-planned price. For more information, contact PNE's Schools Provision Manager, Harriet Creighton-Levis on 07767896308 or email Harriet@pne.com.
