Simon Grayson spoke to PNEPlayerHD on the only downside to a 'good-work' out against Oldham this evening.
With the ball loose, both players went in to claim the ball only for Woods to come off worse, and the PNE boss conceded it may be a month or two on the side lines for the PNE full back.
"He's on crutches at the moment and it's probably going to be months rather than weeks; that's an early diagnosis but it didn't look too good.
"It was a strange tackle to be fair because we spoke to Calum the other day about when and when not to make a tackle. It was a 50/50 tackle, the lads gone in strongly and Calum probably should have pulled out a bit.
"Unfortunately he's tweaked his knee and we'll have to see the severity of it over the next couple of days, hopefully it's nothing too serious."
To hear the full reaction from the PNE boss following the pre-season fixture, there'll be interviews on PNE PlayerHD soon.
