Everton defender Tyias Browning has heard nothing but good things about Preston North End and is hoping to play his part.
“I am happy to get playing again; it has been a long time, so I am hopeful I can come in and make an impact,” he told the club’s online TV station.
“It was quite a frustrating year for me with the injury, but that is in the past now and I am just happy to be back playing.”
His decision to move to Deepdale was made easier by what he heard from his agent, former PNE fan favourite Mark Rankine and Toffees and former PNE coach David Unsworth.
“I know a couple of lads and I have heard nothing but good things about the club and hopefully I can come in do well,” he continued.
“[Mark Rankine] was made up that I was coming here, he classes himself as a legend here and whilst I don’t know about that, he and the likes of David Unsworth had nothing but good things to say about the place and hopefully I can do a job.”
The new PNE No.6 could go straight into the squad for Tuesday night’s trip to Cardiff City and if he does, what can the North End faithful expect to see from him?
“I just want to make an impact and help the team push forward. I’m a physical defender and I know the Championship is a physical league and hopefully it suits me well,” he added.
