Preston North End and Socceroos defender Bailey Wright reflects on his first cap and goal for Australia against Saudi Arabia at Craven Cottage.
The PNE Academy product finally made his bow for Australia and stole the show with a goal on his debut.
And the North End No.6 admits he still can’t believe his rise to stardom in recent times.
Speaking to PNE Player, Wright said: “If someone told me six years ago I’d be where I am now, I probably would never have believed it to be honest.
“I’m grateful that I got given the chance, especially from the youth team days, and I have been given my chance here at Preston which has helped me be where I am today.
“It is a bit of a dream come true what has happened to me this week.”
