Young left back Ben Davies is relishing his time back at PNE and is delighted to be staking a claim in the first team from the off.
Davies spent the majority of last season on loan at York City and his time there has given him the experience to earn himself a place in Simon Grayson's starting Xl.
"It's great to be back first of all, it's a great club and I love it here, the facilities and the whole atmosphere and everything.
"It's good to be back and obviously get into the team for the first few games, I've been really pleased with that so will just see how far I can get and just kick on really.
"I came back in the best shape possible, I did my work over summer just to give myself the best chance of fighting for a place and just worked hard over pre-season.
"I am pleased that he [Simon Grayson] has picked me as first choice for the first few games but I know it's a long season so we will just see who plays when."
