Preston North End have registered central defender Luke Foster on non-contract terms and he goes straight into the side for the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy clash with Bury.
The 27-year-old defender had been training with the Lilywhites for the last couple of months, following a summer release from Rotherham United, where he had missed the last part of his contract through injury.
He has worked with manager Graham Westley before at Stevenage and has been given the No.27 shirt at Deepdale, replacing the suspended Chris Robertson in the side for the northern area quarter-final tie at Gigg Lane.
