Preston North End manager Simon Grayson hopes that Josh Brownhill has more free kicks of that calibre in his locker following his stunner against Burnley.
“He wishes, maybe in his sleep he has seen them flying in like that!” said Grayson, when asked if Josh’s goal was a regular feature at the training ground.
“The majority of the time we have had to send him in because they are about 40 yards over the top of the crossbar, he has been nowhere near!
“Obviously you could see the delight in his face when he has hit that one and it has gone in the top corner, maybe he should be saving them for the start of the season rather than pre-season!
“He has had the confidence to step up and take it and obviously he has executed it unbelievably so full credit to him.”
