Gaffer Talks Rochdale, FA Cup And Praise For PNE Fans

30 October 2014

Manager Simon Grayson speaks to PNE Player ahead of a busy month for his team competing in three competitions in November.

Despite the build up of fixtures, the gaffer still takes it on a game by game basis and the focus remains on Saturday's tie away to Rochdale.

The two sides faced each other earlier in the season in the Capital One Cup where the Lilywhites came out 2-0 victors but Grayson is expecting some changes this time around and is aware of the threat posed by Keith Hill's side.

"They're a good team, Keith's obviously got them promoted last year, we played them in the League Cup early in the season were at times they gave us a difficult game.

"They've got plenty of energy, movement, they use the ball ever so well so we know to expect a real tough game but we are going to have a fantastic support, people are talking about two and a half to three thousand fans there so it will be a fantastic Lancashire derby.

"We will go there obviously in high spirits, not too complacent but confident and try and maintain the run that we're on at this moment in time. But we are under no illusions that that it is going to be a tough game for us."

To hear more on the FA Cup tie with Havent and Waterlooville, the manager's praise for the North End faithful and more on this weekend's tie, go to PNE Player for the extended interview.
