Gaffer Well Aware Of Importance Of Top Of The Table Clash

5 March 2015

Manager Simon Grayson is well aware of the importance of this weekend's trip to stadium:mk and is expecting a close game between two top sides in League One.

Speaking to PNE Player ahead of the top of the table clash, the gaffer explains the importance of the game and reiterates that his side must focus on themselves and picking up points for the rest of the season and see where that takes them.

"It's a big game, second versus third, everybody will be look at it from the outside knowing it's a real big game. You don't get any extra points but we obviously understand the significance of it, as Karl [Robinson] will as well.

"There's no getting away from the fact that we all understand what could happen if we get a positive result or if they get a positive result. So it's two good teams going head to head, both teams are rightly up in the top reaches of the division and both teams are looking forward to getting into that top two and finishing in that top two, along with a few other teams as well.

"It's there for us to hang on to now, we've worked extremely hard to get to where we are but we certainly haven't achieved anything yet as we keep saying this season. All we have got to do is play as well as we can do in every game and try and pick up as many points as possible and what ever happens after that will be. We can't affect things that are hundreds of miles away but we will affect what we can do at MK Dons on Saturday and then against Crewe the following Saturday."
