Gallagher Has Sights Set On The Top Half Of The Table

11 February 2016

Paul Gallagher is aiming for the top half of the table ahead of Saturday’s game against Wolves.

Prior to this weekend’s encounter, North End find themselves within a point of their opponents who currently sit in the top-half of the table, and Gallagher is looking to close the gap on Kenny Jackett’s side and continue the positive start to 2016.

“Ever since the start of this season, we’re always looking forward, not looking behind us,” said North End’s number 12.

“We started the season reasonably well - we probably had too many draws but now if we get three points we go into the top half of the table and closer to the Play-Offs.

“That’s our aim, we want to achieve the best that we can for this football club, it’s been proven that teams coming up from League One can get to the Premier League so why can’t Preston do it, but we’re taking it one game as it comes and we're not getting too carried away – we’re a very level headed group."

On why Gallagher is so keen for Preston to be in the top 12, he added: “It gives you a lift – if we win the game and we go into the top half that confidence comes and winning games breeds confidence.
