Joe Garner is hoping to end a great season for PNE on a high with three points on Saturday.
Leeds United are the visitors this weekend and with a top ten finish still a possibility for the Lilywhites, the striker is hoping PNE can send the fans home with a smile on their faces going into the summer break.
"The season has been tough but if someone said to us at the start of the season we would finish in the top half, or top ten, I think everyone around the place would definitely have taken it.
"To win would be a great way to finish, there's been some great days out, I'm sure the fans have had some good away days, beating Burnley and Blackburn etc. We've had a great season as a team and I think the fans will be happy.
"We've got a big following, we are a big club and hopefully we can repay the fans at the weekend and send them on their summer holidays happy."
The last time PNE faced Leeds saw a controversial decision change the game at Elland Road in the reverse fixture, with Jordan Pickford receiving a red card, which was rightly recinded ahead of the next game.
Garns admits that game adds a bit of extra incentive for him and his teammates: "Leeds are a massive club and we owe them one, the referee's decision didn't help us, I think we were playing really well at the time before Jordan got sent off.
"We've spoken about Leeds, we've gone through them this week and how the gaffer wants to set up. We will do a bit more work on them and hopefully go into the game on Saturday all guns blazing."
The 28-year-old is pleased with the Club's progress this season, and is looking to push on even more after the summer break, though he admits it has been tough at times on a personal level.
With a number of long term injuries in the attacking department for SImon Grayson's side, Joe has been the main striker this season, and though it's been a challenge, it's one he has enjoyed.
"It's been tough but it's really enjoyable, playing up front on my own for most of it has been tough but I've really enjoyed it and to finish where we are I think the lads and the staff have done a great job.
"I think there will be more pressure on us next year to improve again and the gaffer will sit down in the summer and have a look at what he wants to bring in and where he thinks we can get better and we will come back next year and hopefully push on."
