Jamie Jones will join Steven Pressley’s Sky Blues on an initial 31 day emergency loan which can be extended up to a period of 93 days.
The shotstopper, who signed for the Lilywhites in the summer of 2014, has played 20 times for North End.
The Liverpudlian started his career with Everton as a youth before moving south to Leyton Orient in July 2008 – arguably his most impressive performance for Simon Grayson’s men coming against his former Club in a 2-0 victory at the Matchroom Stadium in October.
Formalities around the move are set to be concluded on Friday ahead of Coventry’s League One clash with Yeovil Town on Saturday.
