Iain Hume Joins Fleetwood Town

20 March 2014

Preston North End striker Iain Hume has joined Fleetwood Town on loan until the end of the season.

The Canadian joins up with former PNE team-mate and now Fleetwood manager Graham Alexander, as the Cod Army chase promotion to Sky Bet League One.

Fleetwood currently occupy fourth position in League Two, just four points adrift of the automatic places and Hume will undoubtedly add to their goal threat for the run in.

Hume signed for the Lilywhites back in 2010 from Barnsley and quickly established himself as a fans’ favourite.

He has played 80 times for Preston, scoring 24 goals, his last being the match winner against Notts County back in October.

Ironically, he last featured for North End in that reverse fixture with Notts County at Deepdale in February.

PNE have a recall clause on the loan move after the initial 28 days if they decide to activate it.

Everyone associated at Preston North End would like to with Iain all the very best at Highbury Stadium.
