Hat-trick hero Joe Garner couldn’t praise the North End faithful enough following Saturday’s incredible fight back to beat Fleetwood Town 3-2 at Deepdale.
The PNE No.14 headed the Lilywhites level with two perfectly executed finishes, before sweeping home the winner on the half volley – a scintillating finish even by his own high standards.
And as Garner lapped up the accolades from the home fans following the full time whistle, the striker insists that it is a two way relationship.
“The feeling is mutual,” said Joe, when asked about the love the Preston North End supporters have for him.
“I used to stand on the Town End myself and watch the games; to captain the side and score a hat-trick at Deepdale is a dream come true really.
“But our ultimate ambition is to get Preston promoted, and I will do everything in my power to do that.”
