Preston North End midfielder Joel Byrom has joined fellow League One side Oldham Athletic on loan until the end of the season.
The central midfielder will join up with the Latics today and will be available for their clash with Crewe Alexandra on Saturday.
Byrom’s move to Boundary Park is on an emergency loan deal, with North End having a recall clause after the first 28 days.
Byrom has played 41 times for the Lilywhites since his move from Stevenage in the summer of 2012, the last of his five goals being a free kick against Walsall back in August.
The North End No.13 last featured for Simon Grayson’s men against Wycombe Wanderers in the second round of the FA Cup.
