Kevin Davies Left Frustrated By Draw

13 December 2014

Kevin Davies has told PNE Player that the Preston North End changing room was a place of frustration following Saturday’s 1-1 draw with MK Dons.

In what was an absorbing contest at Deepdale, Davies and Co missed several guilt edged chances to give the Lilywhites all three points.

But rather than ducking the issue, the centre forward spoke of his disappointing at the outcome – despite the No.9 putting in an all-round excellent performance and setting up PNE’s equaliser which was volleyed home by Scott Wiseman.

“We are a little bit frustrated. We created enough chances and were the better side for the majority of the game,” said Davies post-match.

“There was a few missed chances; on my part especially.

“We have come up against a good side and we are a bit disappointed we didn’t win the game in the end.

“We went a goal behind after we were on top for the first half an hour, obviously I had a great chance to put us in the lead – I think after that it sort of rocked us a little bit, but second half we came out and put them on the back foot and we were pushing to get the winner but it just didn’t come today.”
