Winger Danny Mayor has joined Championship side Sheffield Wednesday for an undisclosed fee.
The Preston-born youngster expressed his desire to play at a higher level at the end of last season and has joined the Hillsborough outfit on a three-year-deal.
Mayor was given his PNE debut by Darren Ferguson in 2010 and went on to make 75 appearances for his home town club, scoring three goals, including the 2012 goal of the season against Hartlepool United.
The 21-year-old came through the ranks at Deepdale, signing a professional contract in 2009. The Club would like to wish Danny all the best in his future career.
