Preston North End will host Walsall on Wednesday 7th January, kick-off 7.45pm live on Sky Sports in the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy.
After dispatching of Notts County on Tuesday night, the Lilywhites will do battle with the Saddlers for a place in the Wembley showpiece final over two legs, the first of which from Deepdale, being shown live on Sky Sports.
Walsall earned their place in the area final after beating Tranmere Rovers 5-4 on penalties, the match finishing 2-2 after 90 minutes.
In the Southern Area Final, Gillingham host Bristol City on Tuesday 6th January, kick-off 7.30pm.
