Paul Gallagher picked up the Goal of the Season and Preston Supporters' Group Player of the Year awards at the weekend.
The midfielder has been instrumental in PNE's successful first season back in the Championship, as well as carrying an injury for a lengthy period of the season.
After collecting the awards at Sunday's community day at Deepdale, the 31-year-old admitted that though it's pleasing to receive the award, this year has been all about the efforts of the team.
"The main objective was to stay in the league, nevermind individual awards, it was first and foremost about getting the Club to the Championship and establishing ourselves as a Championship team.
"To do what we have done in the first season is a big credit to everyone involved, from the supporters to the manager, the players, to the owner and to everyone, we've all pushed in the same direction.
"We probably started off a bit slow but then we built it up and maintained our focus and we got to where we wanted to be.
Gally's goal of the season award was presented for his second goal in the 3-0 win over Charlton Athletic back in October, a game which the midfielder felt was a turning point in North End's season.
"We went to Charlton and the manager said I was going to be captain as Tom was out injured at the time. That was a proud moment for me and my family to be captain of this great football club and on the day of the game you could see how much it meant to me.
"It couldn't have started much better really, we got a goal within about a minute and a half, I scored with a free-kick so it was nice to get a goal as captain as well.
"The most important thing was we knew we had go there and win, we had two tough games and we knew we had to come away with some points.
"To win 3-0 away at Charlton, or to win any game 3-0 away in the Championship is difficult but I believe that was the turning point in the season because we were still down near the bottom so we knew we had to start somewhere and I believe that was the night it started."
Speaking of the goal itself, the former Leicester City man continued: "We planned on the corner being chipped into the near post, then I think it was Bailey or someone else was going to flick it on to the back post but their 'keeper came over the top and punched it.
As it came back to me, I was feeling confident as I had already scored and I just knew I had to get my knee over the ball and concentrate.
"I am known as a technical player so that's where my technique came into hand, I caught it really well and to see it fly underneath the bar was nice and it gave us that bit of a cushion which on the night I thought we deserved because we played really well."
