Community Day At Deepdale This Weekend!

25 April 2016

Preston North End are holding a community day at Deepdale this weekend, on Sunday 1st May.

All proceeds from the day will be going to Prostate Cancer UK, and there is plenty of activities on offer for the whole family throughout the day.

Turnstiles will be open from 1pm and entry into Deepdale will be by donation to Prostate Cancer UK, so bring the family down for what is sure to be a great day out.

The 2016 Player of the Year awards will be presented on the day, so make sure you head down to Deepdale to help celebrate what has been a fantastic first season back in the Championship.

The full squad will be in attendance and will be holding a signing session at 1pm, so come along early and meet the players.

Children will also have the chance to take penalties against young PNE goalkeeper Mathew Hudson from 1.30pm.

You will then be able to watch our charity match, which will see a Simon Grayson Xl take on a fans' Xl, kicking off at 2pm.

A team made up of celebrities and former players from PNE and across football will be led by manager Simon Grayson as they take on a team of fans led by current members of the PNE first team.

Just some of the stars that will be taking part include ex-pros Graham Alexander, Paul McKenna, David Lucas, Gary McAllister, Emile Heskey, David Dunn, Mark Lawrenson and Peter Beagrie; singer Paul Heaton, former Ashes-winning England cricket captain Michael Vaughan, and TVs Fenners from Soccer AM.

The places on the fans' team were up for auction on eBay and were snapped up by 14 keen players who are ready to take on the gaffer and his side.

That auction alone raised over £3,000 for Prostate Cancer UK, so come down and help us raise even more for a very worthy cause!
