North End have a number of players away on international duty during the current break, and we look at what's in store for our internationals.
There are four first team players away with their national sides, with Alan Browne, Bailey Wright, Chris Humphrey and Jordan Pickford representing their respective countries.
Academy defender Clive Smith, who featured for the first team during pre-season, is also on international duty for the Wales U17 side.
Alan Browne remains in the Republic of Ireland U21 squad for their UEFA U21 Championships qualifiers against Lithuania and Italy. The midfielder has put in a number of good performances for the Lilywhites recently, keeping him in the Irish squad, and scored North End's only goal at the weekend against Sheffield Wednesday.
Chris Humphrey travels with his national side as they take on Korea Republic on Tuesday 13th October, ahead of their World Cup Qualifiers next month.
Humphrey started the last game for the Reggae Boyz as they beat Nicaragua 2-0 in a World Cup qualifier in September, and played over 80 minutes.
After his first call up to Gareth Southgate's squad in September, Jordan Pickford impressed enough to secure a second call up for England U21s' European Championship qualifier against Kazakhstan.
Pickford played in England's opening qualifier against Norway last month, keeping a cleansheet as the young lions came out 1-0 winners. That was his second cleansheet for Southgate's side after he played in the win over USA at Deepdale earlier that month.
The 21-year-old will be hoping he has done enough in those games to earn himself a starting place once again, and will be looking to build on what has been a positive start to the season for the young 'keeper.
Bailey Wright will also be teaming up with his fellow countrymen again. Australia have won their last three games, against Kyrgyzstan, Bangladesh and Tajikistan, keeping two cleansheets in last two games.
The Socceroos now face Jordan away in another World Cup qualifier on 8th October, with Wright looking to build on his last two appearances where he played a full 90 minutes on both occasions during the last international break in September.
