The North End boss chatted with the Club's online TV and video channel and said the quality of the display was not what he expected. but was happy to be coming away with the Lilywhites' first away win of the season.
"I'm obviously please with the points," said the gaffer. "But I'm not pleased with the display. I thought our ball retention in the first half was poor and wasn't in any way as good as the way it has been. I thought we allowed them into the game too much and didn't resolve the problems they gave us.
"There are lessons to learn throughout the 90 minutes. We are all pleased to have the three points, but we all know we have to be better going forwards."
