Preston North End And Johnstone’s Paint To Deliver Community Spirit

17 October 2014

Preston North End is throwing its support behind a community project in the area to represent the Club in a national competition to win a decoration makeover.

As part of its sponsorship of the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy, Johnstone’s has launched the ‘Community Spirit’ campaign which will see local community projects from all over the country vie for a makeover.

All 48 clubs in the 2014-15 Johnstone’s Paint Trophy will be invited to select, submit and provide their backing to one community project in their local area.

Fans of Preston North End and people involved in community projects in the area are invited to put forward project nominations at www.johnstonestrade.com/communityspirit, with the Club selecting one.

As well as considering nominations submitted, Preston North End will reflect on work it already does in the community and in conjunction with the Football League Trust to consider potential options.

Ben Wilde, brand and sponsorship manager of Johnstone’s Paint, said: “We have no restrictions on the nominations we are looking for – it could be a rundown scout hut or an amateur boxing club.

“The only provision must be that the facility or group serves or provides a benefit to the community.”

After receiving the nominations from all clubs, a shortlisting process will then take place to whittle down the entries to four finalists to go before a public vote to decide the overall winner.

Nominations must be received by Friday, November 21, with clubs making their final decision on which project will represent it on November 28.

Good luck to all!
