Scott Wiseman Hoping To Retain Starting Place

30 September 2014

Scott Wiseman was delighted to have been named in Simon Grayson’s starting Xl against Coventry City and hopes his performance was enough to keep his place.

Last weekend’s game at the Ricoh Arena marked only Wiseman’s second league start this season and speaking to PNE Player the Gibraltar international admits it has been frustrating but hopes to now cement a starting place.

"It’s been a frustrating time for me, being out of the team, but obviously it’s part of football and its part of the way this club is at the minute with the squad that we’ve got.

“It’s so strong that you have to wait your turn and I’ve had to do that and hopefully I have done enough to keep myself in the team.

"It should bring the best out of everybody having such a strong squad and having at least two players in every position, there’s always somebody pushing you even further.

To hear more from Scott Wiseman, including his thoughts on this weekend’s game and his upcoming international duty go to PNE Player for the full interview.
