“We’re All In It Toegther”

10 March 2014

With a fully fit squad heading down to Stevenage, assistant manager Glynn Snodin says whoever is selected, or not, will be right behind the rest of the team.

With Bailey Wright and John Welsh both available for selection, following knocks, the management have a number of posers ahead of them for the clash at the Lamex Stadium and Snods says that it is a great dilemma to have.

“Everybody’s fine. We have a full squad to choose from now,” he said. “Bailey’s made a good recovery – he got a knock in training, but the rest over the weekend has done him good and he’ll be with us on the trip.

“Welshy trained on Thursday and Friday and travelled with us on Saturday, so he is fine too and is ready to go again.

“You want everyone fighting for their place and that’s what they’ve done all season. Those who have got their chance have taken that shirt and others who have come out have responded and given them a pat on the back to go out there and do well.

“We are all in it together, we all want to do well and we all want to get to the Championship.”

With only 11 games now left the focus is on every week, but the No.2 is focused on what the Lilywhites need to do.

“I never look at the table,” he continued. “The old cliché of the ‘next game is the most important’ is true. You can’t worry about what’s happening in front of you or behind you; you can only look after your own situation and make sure that is right and if you are winning games, like we are doing, then come towards the end we can see what we might need.

“It is nice to be in there and up there. The teams at the top need to stay there; everyone is fighting for those slots and hopefully we can keep picking the points up and knocking on the door.”

Going to Stevenage with the second game in three days and the travelling as well, the back room staff could be set to freshen things up, Glynn admitted, for what will be a tough game against a side in-form.

“I think the lads have coped with the different formations we have played and have been magnificent.

“They are feeling confident wherever they go, and some of the away games have felt like home games due to the travelling support as well. There are a lot of reasons why we are doing well away.

“Stevenage have been on a good run – four games without defeat and come kick-off every game is a hard game; you only make them easier by how you perform.

“We have to try and impose what we are good at. We are in good form, have a lot of quality players who will all be looking for another positive result,” he added.
