The match was a disaster as Preston North End got beat 1 nil. In the 1st half it was 50:50, the second half it was Preston who got back in to the game. They had a lot of shots but they could not penetrate the phenomenal Palace defence and goal keeper.
Totally against the run of play, Clinton Morrison scored the 1st goal. Preston were all over them but Crystal Palace snatched the goal. Preston had a lot of corners but did not convert them into goals and did not find any form to equalise.
The manager Alan Irvine said he was disappointed by the defeat.

PALACE STICK THEIR CLAWS IN
The first half was a very poor start for Preston North End. Preston was hoping for a win so they could get 3 points and move up the table but the score ended 1-0 to Crystal Palace. Now Preston will end up in the bottom three in the table.
The first half was very dull and boring; nothing exciting happened except for what must have been just 1 shot for Preston and one shot for Crystal Palace.
The second half was better for Preston, they had some excellent shots from the box with a cracking shot from Chris Sedgwick that was saved by the Palace keeper.
In the 70th minute Clinton Morrison scored from a corner with his chest.
Alan Irvine, after the game, said he was disappointed with their performance seen as they had had 2 wins in a row.

LOSS PUTS NORTH END CLOSE TO RELEGATION
Their loss against Crystal Palace today at1-0 has taken away even more points that they needed to stay in the championship. Shocking news from PNE this weekend and we thought they may be on a roll.
Number 9 Clinton Morison scored in the second half of the match putting Palace in front 1-0 and Preston couldn't get back. It wasn't an exciting game. Both teams were equally as good as each other. The fans gave a few cheers until Palace scored a smashing goal and left the keeper and the team in misery. There were some cracking shots in the second half but PNE couldn't get the ball on target.
The only good thing was the Holland pies at half time.
At the end of the game we met up with Alan Irvine in the conference room. He said that PNE didn't have a great game and the team had a bad match. He may have made a few tactical mistakes and subs.
