Preston North End's growing links with the Lancashire Family Information Service (FIS) have paid dividends for local families once again after the two organisations combined to offer free football coaching for junior players this summer.

Any children aged between five and 14-years-old now have the opportunity to take part in a three-day soccer school at West View Leisure Centre from Monday 27th July to Wednesday 29th July, organised by PNE's qualifed coaching team thanks to funding provided by the FIS.

In addition to being given professional coaching tips from the North End staff and being provided with the chance to progress to our elite coaching centre in the event of a player impressing through exceptional ability or application, all youngsters on the course will be given a certificate of participation, a ticket to see a PNE home game during the 2009/10 season, and the chance to win exciting 'spot prizes' each day.

PNE's community manager Gary Robinson explained:

"This programme has come about off the back of the growing relationship between Preston North End and the Lancashire Family Information Service.

"We were in discussion as to how we could further our good work together, and they have kindly agreed to sponsor this course so that local boys and girls of all abilities can enjoy some free top level coaching from the Club.

"We're really looking forward to the course and hope it's a great success."

The last few remaining paid places on the course are offered on a first come, first served basis, and can be obtained by sending your name, contact details, your child's name, your child's date of birth (and age), and any medical conditions they may have, to Gary Robinson via community@pne.com.

All attendees are advised that the course runs from 10am to 1pm daily. Each participant will also need to bring their own packed lunch, astroturf boots and shinpads.

West View Leisure Centre is on West View in Ribbleton, less than a mile from Deepdale stadium.
