Preston North End's marketing team and community development departments could be set to scoop gongs at the North West Football Awards which take place in November.
The Club's backroom staff have been nominated in each of the categories along with Matt Hill and David Nugent who have both been short-listed in the North West Championship Player of the Month category.
PNE's marketing team have been shortlisted for the Best Marketing Campaign for their 'Time For Heroes' Half-Season Ticket Sales initiative. A campaign which featured current PNE players involved in mock-up photographs from the olden days.
Preston's Community department have already won awards for their work in the local communities and they could be set to continue that fine tradition after being nominated for Community Club of the Year.
Matt Hill and David Nugent are battling it out to be acclaimed as the best Championship player in the north west - but if you want either to achieve the feat, you'll have to get out there and vote!
The Northwest Football Awards 2007 are set to take place at the Midland Hotel in Manchester on Monday 12th November, and the pair who made such an impression for North End at the back end of the 2006/07 are up against Burnley's Michael Duff for the Championship Player of the Year award.
Obviously, we want to see a PNE winner, and following Nuge's departure it would probably make sense if supporters go out and vote for Hilly 'en masse', but we'd never be as undemocratic as to suggest that...
Instead, we leave it open to your better judgement, and urge everyone to make their vote count by heading to the voting page at www.northwestfootballawards.co.uk/vote. The voting remains open until Sunday 7th October, so make sure you act quickly to avoid missing your chance to influence a little bit of history.
We'll keep you posted on the results as soon as they become known... provided the right man wins of course!
