Wolves Reverts To Original Date

Posted on: Mon 18 Feb 2008

Preston's home clash with Wolverhampton Wanderers has reverted back to its originally scheduled date of Tuesday 11th March.

The game had been put back 24 hours to the Wednesday evening as Wolves were due to play West Bromwich Albion the preceding Sunday, but due to the Baggies' involvement in the FA Cup Quarter Finals, that fixture has now been postponed.

It means that the clubs are free to play the game on the date originally listed by the Football League when the fixtures were announced back in June.

FL regulations state that clubs shouldn't be forced to play games within two days of one another, hence the reason for the initial change when the Wolves v West Brom game was put back to the Sunday on police advice.

Tickets will be available shortly via MyPNE.com, with full selling criteria available here on PNE.com as soon as we have it.
