Preston North End have unveiled details of their opponents during the pre-season training camp in Austria, with two very different clubs providing the opposition in the opening warm-up fixtures of the 2008 summer schedule.
On Friday 11th July, the Lilywhites go head to head with Romanian champions CFR Cluj in Obertraun, the town acting as North End's base for their week-long training camp. The game will kick-off at 6pm local time (5pm UK time).
A day later, Saturday 12th July, sees North End travelling west to the town of Hallein, just south of Salzburg, where they face SV Erdal Hallein 04 of the 1. Salzburger Landesliga - a division in the regionalised fourth tier of Austrian football. The Saturday afternoon fixture will commence at 2pm local time (1pm UK time).
Full details of venues and ticketing will be available as soon as we have them courtesy of our hosts, but fans are advised that both towns are relatively small, so the venues should be fairly easy to find once you're in the right area.
