Matt Hill said his goodbyes at Deepdale on Thursday and pne.com got one final chat with the former Player of the Year.

Like most players, Hill never got to say a proper goodbye to the North End supporters but he told the Club's official website that the fans had been very supportive of him during his time at Deepdale.

"I'd like to say thank-you very much for the support," Hill said.

"Right from the very off they have given me a great reception and through my times of playing they have been very good, very supportive of me. I think they could see how much I gave 110 per cent every week and I think that they appreciated that."

Hill joined top-of-the-table Wolverhampton Wanderers on transfer deadline day but he is set to make a speedy return to playing at Deepdale when Mick McCarthy's side travel to Deepdale on Saturday September 20th.
