Alan Irvine has confirmed that Richard Chaplow's hamstring injury will keep him out of action at Watford this Saturday, but there is better news surrounding other PNE stars who have been away from the action of late.
Though news of the midfielder's absence will be met with disappointment, there were positives revealed with regards to goalkeeper Wayne Henderson's recuperation - the Irishman having missed the past 12 months after being sidelined with a back injury.
Speaking at a Friday morning press conference, Irvine explained:
"Richard has a small tear to his hamstring and will be out for a couple of weeks.
"Wayne is diving on crash mats and things like that at the moment. He's doing something on a daily basis with Andy Rhodes, the goalkeeping coach.
"He's getting closer - it's just a case of adopting a 'softly softly' approach."
With Michael Hart still awaiting further news on the injury he sustained at Burnley last weekend, the medical team are continuing to work with Liam Chilvers and Neal Trotman as they continue their recovery from injuries that have so far prevented them from taking part in first team action so far this season.
