Preston North End officials are keen to correct an erroneous crowd figure which was distributed to all media outlets following the conclusion of the Boxing Day fixture at home to Derby County.

Initially, it had been announced that the attendance was an above-average total of 13,896 - a figure that has since been widely reported in most media sources.

However, the Club are pleased to confirm that the correct total was in fact 15,197; the second highest league gate at Deepdale this season.
