Preston North End Football Club are sorry to hear the sad news that Malcolm Woodhouse Senior has passed away after a short illness.

Formerly a Vice Chairman of the Club, Malcolm was also a major shareholder in the past and continued to support the Club.

Mr Woodhouse played a major role under the Chairmanship of Alan Jones and Keith Leeming and continued to attend games on a regular basis, right up until the present time.

Chairman Derek Shaw said: "We are very sorry to hear the sad news tonight of the loss of Malcolm. He was a staunch supporter of the Club, gave a lot of hard work and commitment over a considerable amount of time to improve and make Preston North End the Football Club that it is today.

"We send our condolences to the Woodhouse family at this sad time."
