Stephen Elliott picked himself up off the physio's table to put in an all-action display at Ashton Gate on Saturday and afterwards sais that confidence was still high that the team can achieve a spot in the Play-Offs.
The Irish international frontman was a constant thorn in City's side, partnering Jon Parkin, but he revealed afterwards that until Thursday he had been suffering with a hamstring problem.
"I trained on Thursday for the first time in a couple of weeks, I had a bit of a strain in the hamstring," he explained as he reflected in the 1-1 scoreline. "We knew it was going to be a tough game coming here, but every single one of the lads worked their socks off and we've come away with a deserved point.
"We maybe could have nicked it, looking back on the game, but it's a decent point having gone behind 1-0.
"I think we will see it as a better point than they will. We have the points advantage over them, but we will still sit back and think we could have won it. They had a couple of chances as well, but overall I thought we looked the most dangerous team.
"We have gone away a few times and we've got pumped, so it was nice to come here and put on a decent performance and get something out of the game."
The 25-year-old was also impressed with the finishing of Youl Mawene, as well as the defence's efforts to contain Sky's man of the match Dele Adebola: "Youly got across his man and got a tow in and we were just glad to see it go in the net.
"Adebola's a handful, gets his body in well, but I thought the lads did really well against him and we've come away with a good point at a tough place to come."
And with a massive derby on the horizon as well as four other big fixtures, the No.29 is hoping for an extension to the season: "This could be a massive weekend in respect of how the whole league is going to pan out. With the two games in the short space of time everybody will be looking to take as many points as they can.
"All we can do it keep going, hopefully win our games and then maybe the other teams will slip up.
"I think we are in good form. Having had the international break and no game for a while we looked at the Bristol game and knew it was going to be tough, so everybody is delighted to get something from the game."
