Tranmere Rovers will provide the opposition for PNE's sixth friendly in preparation for the 2009/10 season on Saturday July 18th at Prenton Park.
The familiar double-headed 'curtain raiser' against Bamber Bridge and Chorley will kickstart the schedule with the games taking place simultaneously at the QED Stadium and Victory Park, both commencing at 7.30pm on Tuesday 14th July.
North End will then visit Prenton Park the following Saturday and follow that up with another trip to Wrexham on Tuesday 21st July, with the game against the Blue Square Premier side commencing at 7.30pm at the Racecourse Ground. The tie pits young midfielder Nathan Fairhurst against his old employers in one of his first games since moving to the Welsh club on a full-time basis.
The two home clashes see North End taking on top flight opposition, with Stoke City and Wigan Athletic both travelling to Deepdale within three days of one another.
Tony Pulis' Potters will be in town on Saturday 25th July for a 3pm kick-off, while Steve Bruce brings the Latics to Preston on Tuesday 28th July for a 7.45pm start.
