It already seemed like a case of deja vu when PNE drew Morecambe for the second time in a two-year spell in the Carling Cup this season, but fate seems destined to pair us with them in virtually every cup draw going after the Lancashire FA Senior Cup became the latest competition in which we will face the Shrimps.
The difference in this year's first round tie for the competition, largely contested betwen reserve sides, is that we will travel to face the League Two side at their Christie Park ground, as opposed to hosting them at Deepdale as we have done in the League Cup.
The date for the tie has been set as Wednesday 18th November 2009, with a 7pm kick-off. An enticing tie awaits the winners as it will ensure another genuine derby at home to Blackpool in the second round.
