Ross Wallace looked his threatening best at the Walkers Stadium on Saturday, albeit he could have been on a stretcher if Robbie Neilson's tackle had been on a planted foot, however, he is looking forward to two home games this week.

The Scottish international winger returned to form on Saturday after a couple of quiet games and joined the rest of the side in putting on a quality display that ended Leicester's 25-game unbeaten home record.

He is now hoping the level of performance shown at the Walkers Stadium can be replicated at Deepdale, but acknowledges that they cannot let their standards slip if they are to maintain their position in the upper echelons of the Coca-Cola Championship.

Saturday was an excellent team performance and result.
It was a good game, a good result and everyone played well, so confidence is high going into the next game.

You took a high tackle early on, how is the leg?
It is fine. I got a gash on my leg and I felt at the time that it would be a red card, because if my leg was on the ground it would probably have broken my leg, so I was lucky that my leg was in the air.

It was odd that you then had to spend much of the next few minutes changing your sock!
I only had a little bit of blood there, but I had to go and change my sock. It is silly really, but rules are rules and you just have to get on with it.

The away form in recent months has been excellent, everyone must be pleased with that?
Overall we have done well away from home. Scunthorpe was obviously disappointing, but we are reasonably happy with things. Doncaster we should have perhaps won, at Ipswich Callum got sent off, but we were dominating until then, but overall we are quite happy with our away form right now.

At times on Saturday you looked like the home side.
They were throwing bodies forward after we took the lead, but we had a good shape about us. Everybody defended well and then with Chappy, Sedge, myself and Mells we had got pace on the break and we were hitting them on the counter-attack a lot of the time.

Confidence must be very high in the camp at the moment?
It is. We are sitting third in the league, so confidence is very high and we are just taking each game as it comes.

It's a big week now, with two home games.
Yes, it's two big matches. Reading are a good side and West Brom are the ones flying high right now, so they are two tough games, but we are happy to take anyone on at home at the moment and will fancy our chances.

People may put Tuesday night on their coupon as an automatic home win, but with the competitiveness of the Championship you know that things aren't that simple.
That's right. You don't get wins easy in this league. You have to fight for every single ball and if we slacken off one little bit we are going to get beaten, so it is important everyone puts in the same shift they have been doing in the last few weeks.

The preparation, as everyone knows with the gaffer, will be spot on. How important and helpful is that?
We have the video before the game and that is very in-depth about the opposition. We know exactly what they are going to bring at us and what threats they carry and that means we are prepared for the match and then it is just down to us to go and do the business.

Finally, we have been very grateful for the support given so far this season, but you'll no doubt be hoping that third spot with a chance of finishing the week top of the table could mean a big crowd?
It would be nice to get a few more through the turnstiles, but we appreciate the ones who are supporting us just now. Hopefully everyone is seeing that the team is confident, playing well and they can get down to Deepdale and support us.

If you want to come to Deepdale on Tuesday night and support the boys remember you can just turn up and pay on the night. We have multiple ticket offices, allowing you to buy any available seat right up to kick-off and just after! If you want to just pay cash on the turnstile you can do that too on the Bill Shankly Kop, so with adults starting from £20, over 60s and 16s to 20s just £12 and under 16s just £5, why not support your team.

If you want to support the team in another way why not have a bet on your side to defeat the Royals at Deepdale on Tuesday night. Ross Wallace is 12/1 to score first or last and 7/2 to score at anytime. Got a spare fiver? Then why not try Wallace first goal in a 3-0 win, that will win you £675!
