FA Youth Cup Preview
The FA Youth Cup third round clash between PNE and Manchester City is quickly becoming one of the must-see fixtures at Deepdale this season.
With the first team away at rivals Blackpool on Monday night, the game represents a great opportunity for fans to get to Deepdale and cheer on the youth team.
The action gets underway at 1pm and is a fantastic chance for fans to take a break from the Christmas shopping and watch footy on a Saturday at Deepdale.
The tie sees Jamie Hoyland's teenagers play at Deepdale for the first time this season and sees them face a team who have reached the final twice in the last four years. North End's youth team currently top the Puma Youth Alliance League having only lost once in the league and will be keen to test themselves against top flight opposition, as Director of Youth Dean Ramsdale explained.
"I'm delighted, surprised and nervous - everything you can think of. I've seen them play three times this season and they've played very well, they beat Middlesbrough 6-0. I've got some good friends who work at City, it's a massive club and is a tough but exciting draw.
"I'm sure family and friends will come and hopefully a few supporters will come along, we've started to get quite a few people watching the youth team on Saturday's and we certainly try to play decent football so hopefully some fans will come and cheer us on for the first time against City."
The Sir Tom Finney stand is the only stand open on the day. For more information please contact the ticket office on 0844 856 1966.
