A box of videos and DVDs, a signed ball and programme, a pair of signed Alan Irvine boots and the chance to interview a player were one of the many prizes that Kevin Hodgson's lucky family of PNE fans will be able to enjoy in the coming months

All they had to do was sign up for the free trial in November and hope they were picked; fortunately they were chosen out of the hat and the prizes were theirs.

A free stadium tour, two places in the Guild Lounge, a set of former match-worn shirts, a brick in the Alan Kelly Wall of Fame and the chance to lead the teams out were the other prizes that made it a very merry early Christmas for the Hodgsons.

The Walton-le-Dale father of two told pne.com about finding out he'd been chosen as the winner, "It was fantastic, I thought someone was winding me up at first and I couldn't believe it, it was fantastic news.

"I'm looking forward to taking advantage of lots of the gifts really but to get Alan Irvine's signed boots is great and I know our George is really looking forward to leading the team out."

The box of videos and DVDs was described as 'bumper' and such was its size that half of the matches and compilations had to be relocated to the boot of the car! Luckily for Dad Kevin there is a willing watcher in his family to make the effort worth it.

"I like all the videos because we can watch them at home and the chance to lead the team out and to interview a player will be great," his 10-year-old son George added.

The Hodgsons are lifelong PNE fans, and Mr Hodgson admitted that it was the youngster's idea to enter.

"I think credit for winning has to go to George really because he's really keen on the website and he wanted to do it and took it on and saw the competition so it's all to do with our George really."

The box has over 100 videos and DVDs from the last ten years and fortunately the videos, and PNE Player, have an enthusiastic viewer in the die-hard PNE fan.

"I watch PNE Player every day and after every match to see the goals and everything. I'm already thinking of my questions for Neil Mellor because he and Wallace are my favourite players."
