Since arriving at Deepdale in mid-February Tom Williams has been ever present in the left back role of Preston North End's defence.
Currently on loan from the Championship's bottom club Peterborough United, Williams has played four games since his arrival and is enjoying every minute of it.
But with club captain Callum Davidson on the verge of returning to full fitness the Scot will be hot on Williams' heels for the sought after position.
The left back has already got an assist to his name after setting up Jon Parkin against Derby to put North End one up in the eventual defeat to the Rams.
And Williams, who has one Cyprus international cap to his name, believes it will be a tough tie against Doncaster who sit one point above Preston in the league.
The two sides have already met this year drawing 1-1 in what was the Lilywhites first away game of the season. But now, six months down the line, is where three points becomes all so important.
The Doncaster game marks the first of three home games for North End who will soon be facing tricky games against two former North End manager's teams - high flying Nottingham Forest and Sheffield Wednesday.
Three wins could take the Whites onto 52 points which is currently where Cardiff sit in sixth position, but first the lads must overcome Rovers.
Speaking ahead of the game William's was happy to answer questions about the importance of the up-and-coming home games and about how he has found his time at Deepdale so far.
So, how have you enjoyed your time at Deepdale so far?
"Yes I'm enjoying it, we're passing the ball around well and creating a lot of chances. Since I first came in we have really tightened up at the back as well. We are playing how we want to so it has been very enjoyable - really great."
You've managed to get an assist and have done well going forward - are you pleased with that?
"Yes, but I take the assist away from myself. It is easy with Mellor, Parkin and Brown up front. They're good target men; they give you good angles and have movement in the box so it has been quite easy to pick them out."
How is the team coming on since your arrival?
"To be honest I think the Derby game was a bit of a freak one and the Newcastle defeat was never a 3-0 - we played really well in that game and were unfortunate not to take anything out of it.
"It just seems to have gelled with James and Coutts coming in new to the middle. There is a few new faces but I think we're moving the ball around how the gaffer wants us to now and getting some good results. I think we were unlucky on Saturday."
Doncaster visit Deepdale next - how big of a test will it be?
"Yes they're a good side - they pass the ball well. Sometimes they over pass but when it comes off for them it can make them look really good.
"It will be a difficult game so hopefully we can dominate them physically and take it from there. As I say they are a good side and they're like ourselves sitting mid-table sort of looking over your shoulder one way and down the bottom the other.
"We can both go either way so it is a big game and three points could push us a little bit closer to the play-off spot."
Doncaster marks the start of three important home games. How important are the next set of matches?
"The three home games are huge - absolutely huge! In the three games the crowd can get behind us and really give us an impact. You know we really want to step on these three games and I think it could define the last months of the season for us."
How have you found the fans since your arrival?
"They're brilliant the fans. Obviously I have only played one home game so far and three away but they were fantastic at home to Cardiff.
"Even those who travel away give us great support but you know at home you really get a feel for it and I thought they really backed the team in the Cardiff game.
"When we went down to ten men they helped us push through and dominated that game so it was really good."
