PNE 3 Huddersfield 1 Norwich 3

Posted on: Mon 15 Mar 2010

Preston North End managed to score three goals in two seperate Football League games this weekend!

Whilst Ross Wallace, Callum Davidson and Matty James were putting Nottingham Forest to the sword at Deepdale on Saturday, Preston North End players were also scoring goals at Huddersfield's Galpharm Stadium.

Huddersfield Town's match against Norwich City saw on-loan pair Neal Trotman and Stephen Elliott going head-to-head against each other in more ways than one.

Neal Trotman

Trotman and Elliott both grabbed goals in Norwich's impressive 3-1 victory over the Terriers, Trotman grabbed the opening goal of the game after only three minutes and it looked like being the match winner before super-sub Elliott inspired the Canaries to a comeback. Elliott came off the bench after 62 minutes and seven minutes later Grant Holt had equalised for Paul Lambert's men, five minutes later Elliott nudged Norwich ahead and then with just five minutes left on the clock he wrapped up the victory with another predatory strike.

Both players are on season-long loans at their respective clubs and both Trotman and Elliott will be aiming to be in the promotion shake-up at the end of the season with the Terriers and the Canaries riding high in League One.
