Lifelong Fan Sadly Passes Away

Posted on: Mon 22 Mar 2010

Steve James 1954-2010

Preston North End would like to pay their respects to lifelong fan Steve James who sadly lost his battle with cancer on Wednesday evening.

Mr James was one of the original Gentry boys from the 1970's and has remained loyal to the Club throughout his life, following the team on long away days and cheering the side on from the Alan Kelly Town End every home game.

The 56-year-old season ticket holder sadly leaves behind his two sons and a loving wife. As a mark of respect tomorrow, the fans first and second team's will hold a minutes silence and wear black armbands in their games against West Bromwich Albion and Leicester City respectively.
