North End handed out a 'Hyde-ing' in the Lancashire Senior Cup quarter-final win over Blackpool on Wednesday afternoon and whilst it wasn't quite 26-0, North End created nearly 40 goalscoring opportunities and converted seven.
Jamie Proctor, who signed a pro contract earlier this season, netted twice and the local-born youngster admitted enjoying it that little bit more, being against the Club's local rivals.
"I want to win every game, but I said to the lads before it, that is means more coming from Preston to play against Blackpool, you always want to win," he told the official website. "Having lost to Blackpool earlier this season, all the lads wanted to get one back on them.
"All the lads were up for it right from the start. We wanted to get a good performance in and show what we can do and with the rivalry against Blackpool everyone wanted to do well. I don't think anyone expected what we got, but that's what happens if you work hard as a team.
"We pressed right from minute one. The three forwards got right onto their defence and the midfield pushed up, as did the defence and they couldn't get out of their half, so we just pressurised them for the full 90 minutes and I don't think they had a shot on target."

The possession stats were something akin to the two Barcelona-Arsenal Champions League games and the young forward admitted that was something they had taken inspiration from: "We spoke about the Barcelona-Arsenal game before the match, about pressurising the ball and when we had it, keeping it and enjoying having it and I think the words Jamie, Unsy and Rammers said in the dressing room were taken out onto the pitch and we did as best we could.
"We are probably disappointed we didn't get more than seven. We said at half-time that had five and we'd like to try and get ten, as we had done once before and we probably could have in the end; but you can't complain about a 7-0 derby win really.
"Everyone wants to perform well in the youth team, but when you step up to the reserve team it does get tough and Blackpool had a few pros playing today. As the level gets higher you look to perform better, because Unsy will inform the gaffer if you have performed well in the games and you will in with a chance of playing in the first team."
