Darren Ferguson has told PNE Player that Manchester United forward Danny Welbeck could be set for a sensational 12 month loan spell at Deepdale, along with team-mate Matty James.

The North End gaffer has revealed that the frontman, who made eight appearances for the Lilywhites before a knee injury cut short his original loan will return in the summer after fully recovering from his operation, is being lined-up for a return.
