North End will be backed by well over 1,000 supporters at Bramall Lane after the Sheffield United free travel promotion helped the Club to hit the magical milestone with three days of sales remaining.
And with tickets available until right up to 10am at the ticket office at Deepdale on Saturday morning that figure could double or even treble.
Those wishing to utilise the free travel MUST buy a ticket in advance at the ticket office, although fans travelling themselves can still purchase from the away ticket office on the day at Bramall Lane
With nearly 20 coaches already booked up, PNE will be well backed in South Yorkshire, and all aboard the convoy stand a chance of winning some great prizes during their trip, thanks to the support of Championship sponsors npower.
Preston travel to Bramall Lane on Saturday 28th August, and we've helped to slash the cost of travel by offering a free coach place with every match ticket when fans purchase their seat in advance from the Sir Tom Finney Stand ticket office.
Each of the coaches supplied by new official PNE travel partner Tyrers Coaches will enjoy on board representation from npower, giving supporters the chance to sign up for the new 'Football Saver' dual fuel offering, giving them a guaranteed seven percent off their fuel bills and a £45 free voucher to use on either tickets, merchandise or hospitality at PNE.
Supporters however, do not need to worry about receiving any pressure from salesmen on their journey. Instead, literature will be provided by npower, giving you more information about the deal before being offered the chance to sign up at your convenience. An npower stand will be placed between gangways C and D on the away concourse in the Halliwells Stand, giving you the chance to use the pre-match build up constructively!
On every coach there will be prizes to be won courtesy of npower, including a pair of furry football orbs, the npower mascots. For those who express an interest in npower, additional prizes can also be won in their prize draw for a signed PNE shirt and ball.

Match tickets are priced at £24.50 for adults, £17.50 for senior citizens (over 60), young adults (16 to 18) and students (NUS card must be produced on the day with ticket) and £9 for juniors (under 16).
