Preston North End have completed the loan signing of Crystal Palace midfielder Alex Marrow until the end of the season.

The versatile 22-year-old, who can also operate in central defence, will take the number 13 shirt and is eligible for the Lilywhites' trip to Yeovil Town on Saturday.

Marrow signed for the Eagles in January 2011 after enjoying a successful loan spell with the Championship outfit, but has since struggled to string together a clear run of games through injury.

The former Blackburn Rovers star already has experience at League One level after enjoying a season long loan spell at Oldham Athletic in the 2009/10 campaign where he picked up 33 appearances, scoring one goal.

Alex is manager Graham Westley's fourth signing so far in the January transfer window.
