After the results of Good Friday, North End needed just a point to make sure that they would be involved in the end of season Play-Offs and although they made things difficult they were celebrating come the final whistle.

They join Leeds, Watford and Crystal Palace in what has previously been described as a lottery, although who we will play is anyone's guess.

Preston sit just one point behind both Watford & Leeds and two points clear of Palace in Sixth place and Billy Davis has only one aim now and that's third place:

"We're going for third place, we have got to continue winning games of football and doing the best we can with the three games remaining and we want to go into the Play-Offs as the form team, that is very very important.

"We certainly will change things, we will rotate the team slightly but the target now is to go and finish the season as high as we can in this division.

"You know that anything can happen in the Play-Offs, for this club to get to the Play-Offs is absolutely remarkable. With the players that we have had out, I know I keep going on about it but I'm certainly going to have a drink tonight because I think it is a much greater achievement than last season without a doubt!"

While everyone else may have been writing off North End's chances, following the injuries, illnesses, and departures, Billy Davies was always confident this side could repeat last season's achievement's although he did keep it very quiet:

"Of course we thought it was possible, we go into every game believing we can win it. We work hard in training, we try to be organised and do things right.

"Now we are in the Play-Offs we certainly believe we can go and get to the Final and hopefully go one step further. We know it's going to be tough for every single team that's in there but we'll certainly be in there fighting and doing our best.

"Getting to the Play-Off final is the biggest hurdle that we have got to jump because there are some very difficult games coming up but I don't think we can look any further than the Semi-Finals and those two games that we have to try and get to the Final."
